Saturn sunroof

I recently purchased a 99 Saturn SL, the vehicle has a power sunroof that does not operate. Has anyone ever replaced the motor or worked on a sunroof for a Saturn? Is this a project a do it yourself'er could handle? Thanks.

Hello Fish Inspector!

I recently fixed a sunroof in a 2002 Saturn. The problem with the one I fixed was the two cables that operate the push rods on the roof itself were not making contact with the motor gear. Actually it was just the left side that wasn't making contact. So, I dropped the headliner and moved the cable around the gear, then I used a little clamp to make sure the cable stays in place. It has worked all summer so far!
