Outboard Motor Compression

I was just told me outboard motor needed to be rebuilt because it was not maintaining compression? What does that mean and what should that cost? 60 hp Johnson, about 10 years old maybe newer.

It means 1 or more cylinders has lost compression and motor cannot run properly. Usually have a lot less power and are tought to idle/perform.

It means a lot of money also, migh want to consider new motor.

But go get a secon opinion from somebody else before throwing money into it.
