Hummingbird Matrix 12 HELP?!?!

I just bought a hummingbird matrix 12, and its all set up right by the book. well when i take off and plan out all i see is little fish symbols... and i not sure if its even acurate when i locate a fish any ideas???

The transducer is to close to your prop and you're getting interference. I had the same problem so I moved my transducer closer to the edge of the boat and have a lot less prop "noise" when traveling. The recommended distance is 15" but I have mine closer to 17". Hope this helps.
