bucketmouth64
Has anyone tried to fish for carp in Coon Lake? I was fishing there for bass and seen some huge carp swimming the shallows. Where would you start trying to fish for carp in a lake like this?
hogsucker
If you are seeing carp, you have a pretty good chance of catching them if you play your cards right. Biggest problem is spooking them, so stay back or move very slowly when near them. Try a nightcrawler or small crayfish on the bottom, or chum the area with corn and wait them out, eventually they will find your chum and action will be had for sure. Flies are also a good option for sight-fishing carp, and a lot of fun. ~hogsucker
