Johnson 115 blowing sludge

JBK

Question

Started my 96 Johnson 115 FS for the first time this season in the driveway and the thing just starts blowing oily sludge out of the exaust like crazy! Ive always winterized my own motor and have never had a problom like this before. Plugs all look good. Any ideas? I'm thinking of taking it out on the lake to see if it will blow out or blow up.

That's it it's blown, no good anymore, I'll give you $ 250 for it...... wink.gif

Just kidding, of course. There is nothing wrong with it, just oil deposit from fogging it, some left into oil pump etc.

It will clear out quickly, you can run it on muffs at home for a while and it will be good to go.

If you "clear it out" in the lake you might reduce the walleye population a little, and so of any other fish, all that black gunk....
