tjhunter
I have a '91 Suzuki outboard. It starts and idles fine. You can put it into gear and it will slowly move the boat, but if I go wide open throttle, it bogs down and dies. I can't get it to go over a few miles an hour. Any suggestions?tjhunter
0 Surface Tension
Fuel Starvation would be my first guess. Start at the tank and check all the fittings and clamps along with the squeeze bulb on the fuel hose. Replace the fuel filter. Clean the screen on the fuel pump. Replace fuel pump diaphragms Cleaning the carbs would be my last choice here because unless both were dirty you wouldn't be bogging down and stalling out, you'd just bog.
