shortfatguy
went to the forbes dam on the saint louis river today and was disgusted to see a filleted sturgeon carcass by the parking lot. looked to be about a 20 pounder. hope who ever did it gets caught! the game warden was there befor i left and i pointed it out to him. that fish is a rarety to bad some selfish individual hooked it instead of one of us who would have enjoyed the battle and returned it to the river!! LEECH21
That makes me sick! Two weeks ago we went up to the Rainy River and Lake of the Woods sturgeon fishing and had a blast. We caught many in the 30-50 pound class. They are an awesome fish that grows really SLOW. I would never dream of killing such a great fish. I hope they get caught as well. jonny_redhorse
short...I was at the dam last sunday but didn't make it this weekend at all.....i looked out side.saw it snowing and blowing...enough.. said...lol!...i agree there's some real "dirt bags" out there that have a complete disregard for the laws of this state...i hate hearing such things as the person or persons who took that sturgeon!..i haven't caught many sturgeon in my entire life...not that many out there..to see that happen to a somewhat rare fish is certainly terrible!...just an example of how low some people can go ...last week as i entered the parking lot at the "dam"...i noticed a galvanized 10 qt.pail sitting in the parking lot..i walked over to it and saw it contained used black engine oil!...i can just picture someone changing there engine oil in that parking lot but apparently that's what someone must have done!....go figure!....takes guts for sure!...
