I cannot get my new I-Finder to work properly. It did not come with a MMC card and the instructions say to put one in before operatng. Will this unit work without the MMC card or do I have to purchase one? Thanks.

Yes it should work witout a card. The unit has 8MB of built in memory. You should be outside of a building to operate your unit.
