If you care about the future of muskie fishing in WI. Or Get a idea on how much better the MN DNR is doing then the WI DNR at manageing trophy muskies. Check out this site. Also check out the 50 inch fish chart grafics. It is eye opening. It makes me miss Minnesota even more. Link below

Yes Andy J. is right. If you really care about the current status of the Wisconsin trophy musky fishery and its future, check us out at www.wisconsinmuskyrestoration.org and learn why the WI trophy musky fishery is not living up to its potential and what can and should be done immediately to fix it.

Support our efforts to help the WI DNR to re-introduce the larger growing pure strain of musky that has been nearly eliminated throughout Wisconsin because of past stocking practices. The Minnesota DNR decided to deal with this situation ~ 25 years ago while the Wisconsin DNR did nothing. Minnesota made the right decision to stock only muskies that have been proven to grow large. Now 25 years later Minnesota has perhaps the best trophy musky fishery anywhere and Wisconsin has a trophy fishery thats nearly extinct. WI can do the same thing Minnesota did and create a great trophy fishery but we must demand that the DNR starts now to make the changes needed to get what we deserve, more trophy fish.

I would like to see more of the MN Muskie Fishermen look at this project in Wisconsin. Sure we have a great fishery in MN and the current stocking program seems to be set up to keep things going. What has me worried is the ever growing flood of trophy hunters coming to MN because of what we have. With few trophy options in Wisconsin, MN is getting the brunt of the fishing pressure and our big fish are getting harvested. I don't know if MN can continue to sustain the current fishery if many of our big fish get killed.

Check out what these guys are wanting to do, it is not only a Wisconsin issue! The future of our Muskie fishing will benefit too.
