where did you hear about cats and the rock river? i bought a "fishing hot spots" map, and didn't see much mention in the upper region near me. let me know if you come down, maybe we can hook up. i'll be checking access to some of the areas mentioned. no closed season down here so i'll be bringing a fishpole along with me.

I haven't seen the river myself (yet). From what I've been told though, its serious flathead water around Dixon and Rock Falls down to the Mississippi. I see your just east of Rockford? Like I say I haven't seen it but if they are in Dixon, they should up in the Rockford area too. I've got a guide hired in late June to fish the Rock but I don't know where we'll be fishing yet.
