What Rod and Reel combo works best for Top Water lures ,Crankbaits, Spinnerbaits etc. I realize everyone might have different opinions on what is best. What I'm curious about is rod lengths and action and gear ratio and speed more than whether you are using a $300 G-Loomis with a $400 Calcutta reel or a 2x4 with last nights dental floss attatched to it!

  I went ahead and watched some of the MLF coverage. Wheeler didn’t make the cut but the bigger story was the Poche/Avera fallout. Kinda funny listening to both sides of the story and putting together the scenario, reading between the lines.
