eman
My father-in-law and I just got one of these and found it pretty handy for locating fish. I caught my limit Thursday after drilling holes, putting the sidefinder down to locate fish and moving the fish house. Sure took the guesswork out! How are others finding these for usefulness? fishdog
I bought one this winter, The only complaint's I have is the battery location, and wire that goes inside of the handle. also the screen slows down too much when cold. Mine also eats batteries too up fast. I hate the ice adaptor ,the legs are too short for my holes and they wont stay on tight , im afraid its going to slide down the hole. I now use board instead, and clamp the plastic mount to it. The side finder (sometimes it quits working when cold or when batteries only half dead.) I do like my Fishin buddy, It does work well overall. And it will shoot through clear ice without drilling a hole with a little bit of water and fresh batteries. mine also works right next to vexlairs and seem to be just as accurate. I wish it would cover a larger area in shallow water (10 feet or less). Mine will show my lure and sinker on all my poles when the water is over 20' deep. i also like the water temp gauge. I bought mine (model 2250 ) brand new for $130 because it was last years model and cabells outlet store. cant wait for summer to use the sidefinder from shore.i hope it work as well then.
