I sit here and read how [PoorWordUsage]ed off you vikings fans get about the mention of that superbowl ring for our delighted packers, why is that?????? Is it because your team hasnt had a chance at a superbowl ring in the last decade???? I mean I really dont care, but if you think the mention of that superbowl ring is going to stop at your request, well thats just too bad, this is football, I cant remember a team in the history of football that wasnt in the league for the one reason of winning the superbowl ring so why is it such a sore spot that us packer fans keep bringing up the fact that we have a superbowl ring??? Is it because none of the vikings have a superbowl ring? Maybe if you ask nicely one of our Packers will let you borrow their superbowl ring:p

I think its because that is the rebuttle for anything that is said. Any topic of conversation, that is brought up when it has no relevance in the discussion topic. "Whats gonna happen when Favre retires this year or next? - Doesnt matter the packers have a SB ring" "Vikings knocked the packers out of the playoffs at Lambeau as big underdogs. - Oh yeah well 8 years ago the packers won the SB" "Culpepper and Moss sure burned Al Harris in the 4th quarter of that playoff game. - Oh yeah well the packers won a SB ring 8 years ago." "The wolves sure took it too the bucks last night. - Oh yeah well the packers won a ring 8 years ago." What does that have too do with the wolves beating the bucks? Or with the playoff game 3 weeks ago. I think from now on when any topic comes up about the vikes or packers i'll bring up the 2 world series rings the twins won. But i wont and neither will any other vikings fans here because it never has any relevance in these topics.

That response is so true. I got a good laugh out of that response. As a Packer fan I do get tired when others always play the trump super bowl card when it has no bearing on the discussion.

Though maybe I will start using it, because I am Twins fan. So next time in discussion about something totally unrelated, I think I'll respond with " Well the Packers won the Super Bowl 8 years ago. Then when the Viking fan responds, "Well at least the Twins have the 2 WOrld Series Rings" I'll just reply, "Great, I'm a Twins fan too."
