Jughead
Good afternoon, When I get great service from a small business I like to post it so others can take advantage. About a year ago I made the mistake of traveling with my auger on top of my otter 2 man shack. When the blade guard came off, I got on the ice only to realize that my canvas had been 4 inch cuts in 6 places; one of them a cut right on the zipper. A buddy of mine shopped around and found this very small mom & pop place named Economy Canvas. They replaced his zipper, and put on 2" velcro strips for $35. They also fixed a rip he had in his front window. I just got mine back from the same place- they did not replace the zipper but reinforced it (it's not pretty, but it will work great) and fixed the other rips (with matching purple canvas) for $25! I don't work there or anything. I was just really pleased with the results, given it's hard to find a specialized shop that won't charge you alot. Best of luck, Jughead. federline
Another good place is Harris Canvas and Camping in Minneapolis. They used to be Harris Warehouse or Harris Surplus. Its near the U of M mpls campus, I bought military surplus from them. They'll do any custom canvas work, including fish houses.
