ice around mankato area?

was hoping someone could give me some info on the ice conditions around the mankato area!

the ice is about 4-5 on lake crystal, but i dont know about washington or madison. Going out tomorrow and i'll post then

Welcome to the best fishing site on the net. To answer your question; Most of the lakes west of Kato have had fishermen on since Wednesday - Thursday. I'm talking Crystal, Loon, Clear (near New Ulm), and Hanska.

Those are the lakes I spend most of my time on.

West end of Francis has about 4". I would stay away from the main body of water for a few more cold days yet.

Ballantyne also has 4".

Going to try out the west end of Washingtoon tomorrow. I'll post back with ice amount and if anything is bitting.
