what is your bait preference for coon lake when targeting notherns?

Fatheads on a jigging spoon or Flyer jig. You want to rip jig it in the mouth of the channel right now, the pike are still cruising through. They will be out of there soon though and you will need to move into the mainlake portions.

If you are looking at rigging a tip-up then I would use large shinners or suckers on a Jimmy Rig (quick-strike rig). You want a minnow that is going to be 7 inches or bigger. Deadbait is another good choice.
