Hackensack Area?

Hey how's it going? I grew up in Iowa (no wisecracks you Minnesotans), Des Moines area. I now live in Eden Prairie and love it up here. Anyways, an old roommate of mine had a family cabin on Webb Lake, which is very close to Hackensack. I spent about a week fishing it in the open water season, although I don't have a perspective on how the ice fishing is. That being said, its an excellent lake with quality bass and panfish with a local reputation for walleye. If you go to the Minn. DNR Lakefinder database and type 'Webb Lake', you can view the lakemaps and DNR catchnet data:

One of the main features of the lake that I found to be very productive is the big point about midlake. The lakemap doesn't show it very well, but there are a series of sunken islands out from the point that really produce alot of panfish and bass.

I hope this is helpful.

Thanks Carp. Webb is actually the lake I grew up going to, and staying on a resort on that very point. From a summer point of view, the walleye fishing is a relative waste of time. I think in the 70s it had quite a reputation for walleyes, but due to the small size of the lake rumor has it it was nearly fished out and the walleyes have not ever really recovered. The bass fishing is decent like most Minn lakes, and the crappies are kind of up and down. Have you or anyone else fished Birch lake or Ten Mile Lake through the ice?
