jc_higgins
If I am staying overnight in a "sleeper house" can I have a fish fry after dark when lines are pulled up? Furthermore, can I catch more fish the following day to replace the ones I have eaten?
Sergeant Slabber
How does that saying go...It's legal as long as you don't get caught!
fubar
(I believe) as long as you keep the remains of the fish you ate to prove you haven’t gone over your limit you might be okay. The fish you eat are considered part of your limit. I’d ask a CO before pulling up the lines and cooking the fish.
Catfish John
It would depend on the regulations of the particular lake. On lakes with a slot limit, "While on waters with size restrictions, all fish for which the size restriction applies must have their heads, tails, fins, and skin intactand be measurable"If there is no slot limit, I don't believe you'd even need to pull your lines as long unless you've already kept a limit of the targeted species.
