Guest
Registered BloodhoundsColors range from black and tan, tan and fawn, fawn/red and white. (Very small amounts of white) Males and females available and prices will vary between the two genders. A Bloodhound can expect to live to 11 years. The females at about 90 or more pounds and 24 to 25 inches at the shoulder and a male up to 135 pounds and 29 inches at the shoulder. Bloodhounds are well known for their tracking abilities as well as there loving personality. They do like space and enjoy exercise. A very good dog for a sportsman with some room to accommodate such an animal and the will to work with it. These are some outstanding animals and very hard to find this far North. Most breeders are in the South so this is an exceptional opportunity for a Northern Sportsman to acquire one VERY REASONABLY. There are two litters to pick from and they are full of choice picks. They are on solids and are ready to be placed with a good home. You guessed it, I plan on one myself. Maybe I can train him or her to track catfish? Contact Info: Floyd & Pam Guest [email protected]Comstock MN. 218-585-4407 Be sure to tell Floyd & Pam that Ed "Backwater Eddy" Carlson sent ya! I do have some pictures of the two litters. If interested e-mail me and I will try to send them along. These are truly gorgeous animals! ------------------Ed Carlson Backwater Guiding "ED on the RED" ><,sUMo,> [This message has been edited by Backwater Eddy (edited 10-26-2003).]
icehousebob
A word of warning about Bloodhound pups. If you're only thinking about getting one, DO NOT take the wife and kids to look at the pups. You will not be going home without one. I also know that's true about Bassets. Guest
Ya, I used to raise Basset Hounds....they sell themselves. Remember a bloodhound is a working dog, not an apartment pooch. They get large, and like room. They adopt their owner well and become extremely loyal. But, definitely not a "lap Dog" once they grow a bit. If you are in the market for such an animal, this is a great opportunity to get a excellent blood hound. ------------------Ed Carlson Backwater Guiding "ED on the RED" ><,sUMo,>
Guest
I sent you the pics I had Tex. Anyone else who may be thinking of a pup should contact the owners at the address and phone number I listed in the add above. The litters are theirs to sell, I am just lending a hand as a favor. I am strongly thinking on one of the pups for myself, very strongly. I have been looking for one for some time now and these are top notch Blood Hounds. They are very hard to find this far North.------------------Ed CarlsonBackwater Guiding"ED on the RED"><,sUMo,>

tex22
The pups were really good looking. I asked alot of questions(hope I did not annoy Pam)and got alot of the answers I was looking for. Infact if they have any males left the weekend after next, I'll probably own one. Thanks for the post Ed, otherwise I'd probably end up with a different breed.Tex
Guest
It is good to ask questions before deciding to get a dog. That way you have all the facts and make a more informed decision. I wish more folks who get a dog would do so. You can find a lot of good info on the breed on line too, that helps. There is a lot of interest in them so I better make up my mind before they are all gone too Eh. Picking a pup can be harder then picking a girlfriend Eh. Who am I trying to fool. We all know who picks who there don't we? LOL! ------------------Ed Carlson Backwater Guiding"ED on the RED"[email protected]701-281-2300><,sUMo,>
