This is second hand information, but I hear that the browns can be in front of the coal plant hot and heavy on certain days. Also, some occasional action off Johnson pier. I don't think you can fish from shore at the coal plant this year, unless they reopened it recently. Drop a line if you are interested in what I have heard as far as techniques go and I will put up what I know. I think a boat is needed for the coal plant and I am not sure what the launch conditions are given the cold water. May have frozen the ramps shut. Johnson pier may still be an option.
