Black Hawk Walleyes

Recommended Posts

Pretty good walleye bite going on at Black Hawk...... depending upon who you talk to.

Lots of sublegal fish around 12-13" but we managed 3 larger fish Weds. eve just casting from shore for an hour or so. Several of the bullhead fishers I talked to had an eye or two, caught on thier bullhead rigs which is always a sign that the bite is decent. Most local boat anglers are drifting / trolling with leeches / floating jigheads / splitshot. Others slip bobber with leeches at some of the key locations. Other baits would work.... leeches are just a local favorite. crawlers attract lots of the bullheads though.
