sunnies stealing my bait??

I use corn and doughballs for bait and am having a lot of trouble keeping the bait on the hook. The panfish eat it all before the carp can get to it more often than not. What can I use to keep the bait on the hook longer? Any other more durable baits or methods out there that I should try. Thanks

Try adding alittle melted butter to the doughballs let them dry for an hour before hand, should do the trick. For the corn use a barbed hook and hook the kernel side waise for better results.
