walleye69
I haven't put in at Little Bend this year, but I have fished Bush's 5 or 6 times in the last 3 weeks and haven't had any problems launching our 19' Lund. The ramp is a little silted in on the lower part, but you just have to watch so you don't back in too far. Keep 2 wheels dry and you will have it made. Get there early cause the launch is one boat at a time. We have been having really good luck in Willow and Bull creeks in the last 2 weeks. Hope this helps. Guest
Ditto for us to. We are staying at Pike Haven resort and will be fishing the Cheyenne River area for most of a week. Any tips, spots, techniques that you would suggest would be great.
ifishsd
Spinner and crawlwers are working in that area. Also try a hook with a red bead and half of a crawler. Fish the points of the bays on the north side of the river from the mouth of the Cheyene past Bush's landing. Don't be afraid to fish shallow. Check out my profile for a link to my Homepage for fishing reports for South Dakota.
walleye69
I have been having really good luck in Bull Creek, Willow Creek, Split Creek, and No Heart Creek in the last 2 weeks. The points directly north of the ramp at Bush's have been producing well also. Have been taking fish on crawlers & spinners (Chartreuse & gold spinners have been good). Also have been taking alot of fish on lindys w/a plain hook & yellow bead tipped with a minnow. Some days they like crawlers better, and some days its minnows. I have been taking most fish in the last couple of weeks in 10-18' of water. Its tough to fish shallower than 10' because of all of the milfoil. The smaller fish have started biting in the last couple of weeks. If you can find the fish its not hard to get 6-10 fish per person. I have some buddies coming out tomorrow to fish for the next 4 days, so I will post and up to date report on Friday night.
Guest
Hey Walleye69 what types of presintations are you haveing the best success on? Jigs, lindys, cranks? We are leaving to go out there this Sunday and will fish 3 days before the 4th. I was just wondering if you could help me with some tips. This is the first time I've been there. Have you guys had good success as far as numbers in the slot? Numbers in general? Any information you wouldn't mind sharing would be helpful. Thanks again.
