Which trolling moter???

I am going to purchase a bow mount trolling moter real soon but need to do some reasearch before purchasing.
Lets be honest, sometimes the sales people like to think they know best, but not always true, heh.

Anyway, I will most likely go with a Min Kota, they seem to be the most popular and have been around along time,

Question is, how many pounds thrust and what lenght shaft?

I have an older 16ft. Bayliner speedboat(fishing boat to me) with a 85 Hp.
I believe last I checked it was around a couple thousand pounds.

I'm not interested in an auto pilot, but want the foot pedal control.

regaurdless 24 volt!!!

chech out some of the previous posts on same subbject.

overall a 16' unless it is fiberglass, should have at least a 55# thrust. go as big as you can afford. use the tim tallor approach start big and then go bigger. good luck and stick with minnekota.
