Just got back from weekend out at Waubay & Bitter Lakes. Lots of crappie action on Waubay, a good walleye bite going too, but most are under the slot limit.
Bitter is a whole different story...the best bite is at dusk and well into the night. Lots of them are under the slot limit but we managed one limit of 17-18 inchers. If you're after northerns, this is the lake to be on. They're hitting anything and everything, fish the weed edges and shallows(by shallow I mean anything under 2 ft.) We brought home our limits with most fish being 3-6 lbs. and a few dandys mixed in. Had a good trip out there, but it would have been great if it weren't for the fly hatch...man, were they thick!!! shocked.gif
