Hawks
Hey guys, I am heading out to Lake Oahe to fish in the Gettysburg area next weekend. Was wondering what I can expect for fishing that area this time of the year. Sounds like the Walleye action is great, are we going too early? Any advice for our first fishing trip to South Dakota would be greatly appreciated. --Good fishin!Hawks
ifishsd
here is a report from Mobridge. Mobridge -- "We've got lots of smelt in the water, probably the most since they flushed the reservoir back in 1997, so the walleyes are getting their appetite filled without chasing bait. Our water level is still low, but boats can be launched at Memorial and Indian Creeks. A few boats have been out looking for walleyes, but without much luck. A 20 year old caught a 17 pound northern with smelt off shore last weekend," said Janice Frailing at Bridge City Bait.
