winch installation

I've got a 1999 polaris 500 sportsman how big of a winch would you guys recommend and how difficult is one to install? Anyone know of any good deals on a new or used winch?

I would suggest nothing under 2000-pound capacity. Whether it has a large rotary knob or a small switch with a contactor, that reflects in how much you'd like to spend.
