Chad Holst
i found a great set up on you tube. Sorry i dont have a picture of it, but its easy to understand. We actually use this in our hubs also, it save a TON of gas. We will be build 2 of these into our new house we are building. In a perm, build a box up one wall...say 4x4 square. At the bottom, place a 12v computer fan, vent the front of it. At the top of the box, put a vent to allow air to be pulled in. Usually the issue isnt drawing air from one side of the house to the other, its about getting the hot air up high, moved to the floor. Remember hot air rises, this helps keep a constant temp throughout the entire level, rather than your feet being cold and when you stand up your in a sauna. heres a simple drawing... in our clam hubs we use drier tubing that accordians out to the length of the side hieght and up to the middle of the ceiling. The tube has quick clips zip tied to the tube, and the female ends are zip tied to the poles in the hub. they fold up fine when taking the house down. We set up the house, clip in the tube and plug the fan in to a 12v flasher batt. The fan we run works great and will last on a flasher batt for 50 hours or so. the tubing fits in a small duffle bag, when not in use. If we would normally have to run the heater on med-high, we can now run it on low and still be 2x as warm. Total cost? 15 bucks plus a battery. chad austin
For a wheel house I would suggest a 12 volt ceiling fan. They hang down approx. 8-9 inches from the ceiling. I bought mine from an RV supplier and absolutely love it compared to the computer fans we were using. The ceiling fan keeps the house the same temp from the floor to the ceiling and the floor dries out 10 times quicker too.
