MN BassFisher
It sounds like people are fishing in the Midwest already, that's awesome!! Here in CO I was lucky enough to go up in elevation and find ice in October and early November. That was until the mountains got dumped on with snow and it turned the ice into slush. Some larger lakes are starting to ice up however and I was able to get out on one on Sunday, November 24th. We started the morning in shallow water and set up on 5" of ice. The bite was good until about 11am and then the fish went deeper. So we changed locations and targeted deeper water. The ice was sketchy and inconsistent, we found 2-3" of ice and called it good. At least 2 people went through the ice on Saturday! Just because it's 4-5" in one spot, doesn't mean it's 4-5" in the next spot. You can see a short video of our outing here:

FishFindHer
We used to live in the Springs and iced fished at Antero. Caught some really nice rainbows up there. The water was so clear you could see everything down your hole...sometimes that could be frustrating when you had "lookers" that didn't bite, lol. Good times. Enjoy your experience out there!
