Power inverter

Whats a good power inverter to power light an fans, taking, by this i mean Mine fried an have buy a new, I would hook up the unit to a 12 volt batt. an plu in 110 fans an lights. been so long dont know whats out ther anymore.

I've bought a couple off HSOforum donrowe dot com.

The have reputable brands there. I bought the Samlex brand. A 300W and a 1000W.

A 1000W inverter sounds really nifty, but bear in mind to properly feed for full output you need 100A or more of current and welding cable like supply wiring to minimize voltage drop.

Its all kinda mumbo jumbo to, I bought the fried one on a whim didnt know what i was buy really, so what do you suggest, for a few lights an a couple computer fans? Thanks for ur help.

I think most computer fans are 12 volt...

If your only using it for lights and a fan why not change your bulbs to 12 volt and do away with the inverter ? It's way less $ than a inverter. Your battery will last longer running 12 volt lights direct than it will powering a inverter to run 120 volt stuff.

12v LED lights suck very little juice. 110 lights powered by inverter take a bunch more juice and battery life will be much less. I changed the lighting in my house from 12v camper bulbs to 12v LED last year and the difference is HUGE. You can also get 12v fans at a local hardware or auto parts store.

Also, I have a 19" LED TV/DVD combo I power from a 350 watt inverter. I only use the TV when I'm bored and nothings happening I'll watch a movie. On any given weekend it will never get turned on to only being on for a couple hours.

Boy took out some 12 volt fans of an old ice house of mine an put them in my daughters house, guesse i knew this all the time, had an inverter for light primarily, when the inverter wnet out the mind said get a new one. der, heres my sign.
