trapper001
In the process of installing electric jacks on my 16 ft wheel house. About to the point where I need to wire them in. Trying to decide the best way to do it, whether to hard wire them to a separate battery or tie them all in to run off the truck battery. Thoughts? peerchking
I would do it both way just in case !
acesinthehole
I would make sure you can get truck power because after one use the one battery will be dead. i have 3 jacks on my house and the battery by it's self is just not enough. I either have to have it hooked up to my truck or my geny running.
Lip_Ripper Guy
I would suggest not tying them to the truck battery. The last thing I want when I'm 10 miles out on the lake is something funky draining my truck battery. In my hydraulic house I have the hydraulic system totally isolated with it's own battery and on board charger. You could do something similar for relatively cheap. About $60 for a smaller battery, and $40-50 for a single bank on board charger.
