Dahitman44
Hi -- I am having a local company build a fish house for me that I will finish. It will be 6.5 x 16 plus a V. It is an alum. trailer with tow-sided alum. walls with dense spray foam inside. My question is this -- do you guys have similar sized house? Or Ice castles? Do they seem narrow?I am used to my 8 x 12 that I sold.I would like to put a dinette on one end and a "light" kitchen in the nose of v. Door in the side.Any thoughts would be great. forcedtowork
I built a 6.5' x 14 ft plus V last year, at the end of this year I will be selling to build an 8ft wide house. The 6.5ft model gets tight inside for sleeping, and genral moving around, by the time you add chairs, people and gear.

forcedtowork
If you are used to an 8ft model I think the transition will be harder on you. I would suggest checking out Outlet Rec in Fargo this weekend if they have 6.5 ft Ice Castle in stock and just walking through it and get the feel/idea of it. Might be worth the 20 minute drive so you don't have regret.
