Mann Lake

The owners of Wildwood Beach resort on Mann lake are out of their minds. My brother and i go to our parents house in Emily mn (north of brainerd) the first weekend in october for a 3 day fishing trip every year. this year we wanted to fish man lake. I have a 19 ft ranger with a 94" beem, its to big to fit through the channel. i called the owner of the resort and offered them the price of there cheapest cabin (179.00/night) to use there landing. after much debate they declined my offer. i cant begin to tell you how upset i am with them. (end of rant). I need another lake to fish in the Longville-brainerd area that has good smallmouths in it. We fish smb one day and lmb the next and always hit serpent monday on our way home. We have a great largemouth lake but need a smallmouth lake. anybody have any info for me? pm me if you want. Thank you

I have had the same discussion with the owners of that resort. Too bad. I have heard the channel between Mann and Mckewon is bigger but haven't seen it personally. Baby can be good at times and you could also check out Portage north of 10 Mile. Both of those lakes you will get a mixed bags. Best chance at a giant would be Woman but they can be tough to find and seem to be either completely on fire or no where to be found. Here are a couple of 4 #ers from up there
