LOTW Smallmouth help

Hey everyone, I am new to smallmouth bass fishing and will be going up to LOTW with my family in a little over a week. We usually fish walleye and musky up there, but with the musky season being closed till the 15th, we're looking to do some smallmouth fishing. I was wondering what some common tactics are and what type of structure these fish relate to this time of year. Thanks in advance!

I'd be spending time near the first break especially rocky areas....Topwaters or suspending jerks may be the ticket,or the usual tubes, grubs,or small jigs...Bass likely will be prespawn or spawn so may be staging near the break or have worked their way up to spawning areas.
