Spot spraying broadleafs

Recommended Posts

I have used a number of different things in the past few years from bags of weed and feed to weed b gon to others...I am at the point now that my lawn doesn't produce enough broadleafs to justify an application over the whole thing. I am looking for some recommendations for over the counter (not a licensed lawn guy so I don't get that stuff)broadleaf control. I recently found a product by "Ferti-Lome" called weed Free Zone and I was thinking of giving it a shot. Any other recommendations would be appreciated and if you have a good place near by the St. Cloud area it would be great to.

Here is the bottle of stuff I was looking at. Says 10% 2,4-D

I like a combination of 24D or Mecoprop (sp?) and brush-killer bgone, mixing both to the recommended amounts in the same container. This seems to provide a fast and sure kill of broad leafs and brush at the same time. The one in the photo seems to be a good one. Avoid those with high salt contents as this part stays in the ground and after many applications could harm trees through the roots.
