molonlabe18
Just wondering if anybody had reports from Leech lake on ice conditions or the crappie bite. I am just about back to Minnesota after a year over seas and hoping to take part in the last bit of ice fishing for the season. I am looking at heading up to leech the weekend of April 5th to do some crappie fishing is the ice going to hold up? What are some good spots to check out for crappies and what depths should I be targeting at this point in the season?
thatoneguy
Plenty of ice, hard to get around on the lake though.

Sota2Florida
I am a bit East of Leech, but here we have a ways to go before we get the snow off the ice. My advice would be to wait a bit yet before driving up North to fish. Next week looks cool most of the week and from what I am hearing the fish are still very slow. We need to get the snow off and some water running into the lake to really turn on the bite. Good luck if you do come up, it may be hard to get around on the lake.
