How to keep things cold but not frozen when in a sleeper?

Any enclosed storage area in your house should keep things cold. I have an area under my front counter enclosed and insulated. On the outside wall I have a small 3" round vent cut to the outside - keeps everything cold without freezing. Kind of works like a frig.

I was told once to use ice in the cooler just like you would in the summer months. I've done this the last couple of deer seasons with good luck. Give it a try while leaving the cooler inside the sleeper and it should work for ya. I also use a 5 day cooler that might work a little better.

Two ways, if you have enclosed space under your bunk / table that will work. Buy a 5 day cooler, leave it outside durring the day and bring in at night and set it by the door. works great. watch your eggs and lettuce close, that is first to freeze!!!
