I checked one out at the store the other day. I think if I was to get another non DSLR I'd get the Canon powershot SX50IS. Seams a bit more solid, 50 power optical zoom, not as many pixel but should be fine. Both are nice. I have had 4 of the SX cameras and loved them all. I have a Nikon D5000 now that I am learning and still have the SX30IS Canon. If you g o o g l e P510 vs SX50IS a nice review site comes up to help you decide.

:>) I bet yer gonna love it. Have fun! And post pics. On a side note if you can afford it a fun editting program is elements by photoshop. I have elements 6 on 1 machine and elements 8 on my laptop. Now I spose I will have to go get elements 10. lol
