In the latest issue of DU magazine there is an extensive article on the effects of "global warming" on the future of waterfowl and waterfowl hunting.

For me setting out decoys is more of an art form. The night before I hunt, i sit down with a legal pad and make as many possible set ups given the wind so i can set them right away with out pondering. I find this very helpful with placement of species and landing areas. I have been known as a very compulsive decoy setter, meaning everything has to be perfect. It often annoys my hunting buddies but hey its worth it right? My puddler spread cosists of 4 doz. mallards, 1 doz woodies, 1 doz teal, and a few Sprigs, ringbills and\or widgeons depending on location. Diver spread is a boat load of mag. mallards and bills. I feel decoy placement is a very crucial part in the enticing of fowl, so yea It is a big deal if there is deke cord wraped around the neck of the suzie and the west tip of the spread!!

If I'm not in the duck blind or the ice house I'm thinking about it!!......maybe thats why I can't pay attention in class!
