selenoid for Johnson 25

Does anyone have a parts book that could look up a starting selenoid for a 1982 Johnson 25 hp. Model number J25RCNB? I ordered one and put it on today and I got nothing. The one I ordered is model number 0586180! Thank you!!

That's the correct part number. You replaced it and the engine still won't crank?

Did you determine whether it not you had power to the solenoid? Both at the large stud and smaller terminal with the yellow (or white) wire?

Can you hear the solenoid click?

big left stud is power from battery, top left little stud is power from ignition, top right little stud is ground from ignition, right big stud is to starter. Thats how I have it wired. I dont hear any clicking. The ignition is actaully just a wired button since the motor is a tiller and I dont have a start button on the actual motor. Could it be the button starter itself?

It could be Yes. Use a 12 volt test light and check for voltage on the battery side if the solenoid as well as to the switch. Also check from the switch to the solenoid while button is pushed.
