marine_1
Easiest way to find fish there Cast towards the beach and hit the breakline around the island.
d.roy
Bassman, how did waconia treat you - any follows/hook-ups? I may try to get out there tonight for some casts.

d.roy
Waconia can be a tough lake, I've considered throwing my rods and tackle into the lake out of frustration on that lake more than once! Like musky fishing anywhere, just gotta keep casting. I wasn't able to keep myself off the lake last night with the weather that was moving around. No hook-ups but raised three fish, one was easily 45+ and very fat - sure would've liked to have had my buddy hook up on that one! In spite of the juicy weather, they were late/deep follows and the one hit did so rather short. Tried fast and slow bait both above and below the surface. I really thought they might go last night but apparently not in my boat. Nonetheless, I'll take a few follows to at least have something to work with. Keep casting - there are big ones there!
