kerryd15
Hi I've been using this all spring and has been running well. Ren well yesterday, filled with non oxy gas last nigt then today when I would try to take off, not sure how to explain it, but just had a lack of power. starts right up. Idles smooth. When going to wide open its very slow, no missing or coughing that I can tell. the bulb stayed hard. I did notice tonight when I pulled the cover that on the carbs there is a little brass port that is open to the outside. On the top carb it has a blueish liquid in it. I am assuming that that is oil and gas, but what does that port do? I plan on doing a compression test and pulling the carbs tomorrow. thanks
boatfixer
Where excactly is the port?Id look at the plugs and inspectPlugged fuel filters will act the same.Make sure you have air tight connections on the fuel lineAlso, being that you just put gas in, pull a sample and look for water
WARRIOR 2090
If it has never had the red stator kit done to it you could have the high speed side of the stator out the motor will idle good run good to about 1800 rpms then go flat and won't get out of the water
kerryd15
I check the compression, 115-120 on all three cylinders.I borrowed a little gas pump and pumped a gallon off the bottom- no seperation. I did pump about 5 gallon out and put in my truck.i drained the carbs and filled with fresh gas. I check the plugs and had good spark and the color on all three were the same. The little port I was talking about is toward the top on the left side of the motor right beside a air or gas mixture screw. It looks like a main jet except screwed in the side of the carb. When I was trying to get up and running the other day I did try to squeeze the bulb and that did not help. i have not gotten the gas filter off yet but i did have to squeeze much at all to refill the carbs.I have not had a chance to try it out yet. How do I check the High speed stator? Thanks for the help
kerryd15
I pulled the carbs and cleaned them, there was no discoloration and didn't find any ports that looked plugged. I did try it out tonight and ran like a top, just not sure what caused it. Thanks for the help.
