How walleye fishing is viewed by outsiders

Comit, I can see your side, and growing up on a sunfish/crappie lake area it was always the same thing when I would catch a bullhead...then when we started taking our older neighbor with I would hook into a bullhead and be going through that disappointment and he would light up and say "this is great! I haven't seen this large of bullheads in years." He took every one of them home and never wasted a bite of them either! I had a similar experience with my 5yr old on our LOW trip this winter when we caught a few tullies, and she didn't understand why we didn't want to eat them, I was offered some tullies both smoked and pickled a few weeks ago and my daughter and I figured we will definately keep them the next time! (good stuff) Walleyes caught up there made her eyes light up and when she caught more than mom/dad/grandpa/grandma she was hooked and already learning how to use taunting and sarcasm...lol (still hearing how she schooled us and I love every minute she ribs me about it, because that means I may have another fishing partner for a few years!) Family traditions have to start somewhere right?
