Bassing at Phalen this summer

I plan to bass fish Phalen since its near by my house and there never seems to be a traffic of people on the lake.

Where do you think would be good areas to try based on this map? A friend of mine told me that they would fish off the dock and cast senkos near the rock pile. Last year he pulled up a 6lber and a bunch of 4 and 5's by doing this.

Keep in mind, I'll be on a canoe.

Thanks.

Years ago, I used to fish there on a raft and caught plenty of dinks to 3's. Since you're on a canoe just paddle around the south end and parts of east side because there's less pressure there. West side has docs, a bridge, a beach and canoe/paddle boat rental. Lost of disturbance and pressure on that side. There's a lot of rocks, hard bottom and weed structure on the south end and east side of that lake so the water clarity is crystal clear. Use mono or fluoro. Good Luck.
