I'm setting up my first muskie rig. Is there one line to cover general all-around applications? The reel is a 5601 ABU -- 7ft MH Fenwick musky/pike rod. Thanks

I personally like 80# Tuff line for my Abu's. I think this year I'm going to give 80# Power Pro a try on one set up and Tuff on the others. I hear more and more people switching to Power Pro.

RascalP I use power pro on my Abu's, in the 80# flavor. One thing that you'll want to do is put some mono backing (12-14 lbs.) on the reel before you put on the super braid. I only use about 125 yards of the super braid and that doesn't come anywhere near filling the reel, so by putting the mono backing you can get the reel to it's max line capactiy (long smoother casts) and prevents line slip.
