Braid line suggestions

I have (and currently use) both PP and the 832 and cannot really tell the f=difference. The 832 seems a little stiffer but both seem to fish well. I cannot recommend one over the other.

I am interested in the new super slick Power Pro and will probably spool a rod with it this summer.

I'll toss in an opinion here. I've tried a good amount of braids over the last couple years and I keep on coming back to Power Pro for most uses. I tried out the Sufix 832 braid and I'm impressed with it overall for sure, however do NOT use it for frogging since this braid sinks. You'll get frustrated for no reason since all other braids float. I tried it for a while for that purpose and noticed quickly that the line was getting under lily bads and into weed mats when my other rod w/ PP doesn't have that issue at all.

The 832 is great for everything but topwater IMO. Similar costs, though if one is on sale over the other, I see no reason not to get the cheaper one. Both have slight bleeding, but nothing excessive. Power Pro still felt limper to me though. 832 seemed to have a bit more memory in my experience.

832 braids floats with poppers and walking lures hmmm....

I use power pro for 7 years now and love it! My minimum is 40lbs. Why? Once I thought I try a 10lb test to see if I could cast my luckycraft spinnerbait further and smoother. It did but after a few cast the line snapped and it ended up on a tree. I've tried 20lbs with a 1/4oz jig at the end, snagged some weed, a slight tug and it snapped. WEAK! Since then I would never use anything less then 40#'s. 30# is exceptional. I've used other brands too but always came back to Power Pro!

like many have said, braid has no stretch and the smaller diameter lines do not perform as well as the bigger ones especially on heavier lures. I don't care what the brand is, I'm willing to bet on this.
