mississippi river question for next year.

ok, I'm a noob for duck hunting and was wondering if the mississippi is open to duck hunting? basically are there public hunting areas that I could go to? I checked out the DNR HSOforum but could not find any information on where to launch from a boat and the regulations on the river. sorry for the stupid questions but I dont know anybody who duck hunts so you guys are all that I have to answer these questions. any HSOforum articles, links would be really helpful. I'm thinking of hunting south of lake pepin next year.

I hunt the northern portion of the river in my neck of the woods soory I can't help wit your questions But I 'm alo intrested in hunting the river from Red Wing south myself.

I know that parts of he river are refuges and some parts a huntable but finding those have been difficult just need a little help also.

I know there are wma's along the river and in the backwaters of mississippi. Many areas are hunted heavily in the south metro. South of pepin the pressure is less....
