new eskimo quick flip 2 help

Recommended Posts

Just got the a new eskimo quick flip 2 from my girlfriend for christmas. I got it all set up fine. Does anyone know what that black piece of weather strip looking thing is for? I would asume it for attaching the back canvas to the sled? Does anyone know the best meathod for attaching it, if that is what it is for? I have never owned a flip over style portable before.

Any help much apreciated. Thanks

Yes that is what it's for. Set it up and just push it on the back of the sled over the canvas. Works best when warm and helps to have 2 people it can be a little hard to get started and go around the corners. Have fun I got mine past year and love it.

I forgot to mention in my original post that I have some screws leftover from the parts bag. Are you soposed to put the weather stripping thing over the canvas and on the sled and then drive the screws thru the weather stripping and canvas into the sled?

I got a quick flip 2 this year also and have only positive reviews on it so far. Can't remember what if anything was left when I was done putting it together. I put the weather stripping stuff on the sled first then used a flat head screw driver to push the canvas down into it (just be gentile so you don't rip the canvas). I did not put any screws through the stripping & thru 4 trips it has held the canvas to the sled just fine.

I also would highly recommend adding reflectix to the ceiling. it cost under $20 and helps keep heat in and reduces condensation.

Yeah the screws are for the strip but I also don't use them as it would weaken the canvas. No problems with it staying on in over a year now lm and if you take it off over the summer which I highly recommend good luck hitting the same holes
