Hard starting Jiffy Pro4 propane

Recommended Posts

Just got our new Pro4 at the ice show and tried to start it for the first time today. Tried numerous times and no go. Checked for spark and it was there. Put on new, warmish propane tank, still no go. Finally took the air filter cover off and it finally started. Ran it for a while to get it warmed up. Put air filter cover back on and no go. Took cover off and it started.

Wazzup? Is there a carburetor screw that needs adjusting?

anybody else have this situationA

Called Jiffy tech service on Monday morning and described the problem. Tuesday morning (today) they called back and said they are sending me a new power head via Speedy Delivery and that Speedy would also pick up the "old" head from me. Should see them Wed or Thurs. Sounds like good customer service to me.

Hopefully the new head works out of the box and away we go!
