Ice_Fishin07
Is there any better way to tie down ATV on snowmobile trailer other than strapping into frame? Let me know what you guys do?
eyehunter
I use the winch cable on the trailer tongue to tie down the front and straps from the trailer to the hitch on the wheeler on the rear, that along with applying the parking brake. I haven't had a problem with it yet.
kb1965
I bought a large Eye bolt and bolted it into the hole where I would have cranked down the ski tiedown bracket on the front. Couple ratchet straps from there and keeps it in place.
bgfish00
I second the Eye Bolts. I keep the sides on my trailer and the Eye bolts make this work well. Just add some extras support to them with some Larger washers.
eyehunter
I actually added the eye bolt too, that's what I hook the winch cable to.
fishing tech
I agree, eye bolts where your crank down bars go for the front. For the rear I drilled a couple of holes in each side at the back of the trailer and run the hook for the ratchet strap through one of those holes. I also ran a U bolt through the frame in the back that also gives me a place to hook a ratchet strap to. I was going to put some D rings on the trailer but this was easier and cheaper. pls I was worried about the D rings pulling out after a few years of use.
